The Pepin County Land Conservation Department
(LCD) works under the direction of the Land Conservation Committee.
LCD offers county landowners technical and engineering assistance
with natural resource related projects and financial assistance
for soil and water conservation practices. The Department works
with federal, state, and county soil and water conservation and
farmland preservation programs; offers tree and shrub sales and
rental of a tree planter; processes wildlife damage claims; administers
the snowmobile trails program; coordinates youth and educational
programs; and operates and maintains the county's parks and shooting
range. |

EQIP (Environmental Quality Incentive Program)
Wisconsin EQIP Continuous Sign-up
Practices available through the EQIP program include:
- grassed waterways; grade stabilizations (dams); access roads; manure storage facility; animal trails and walkways; cover crop; fencing; nutrient management; prescribed grazing; tree/shrub establishment; well decommissioning. These are just a few of the practices.

CSP
The Conservation Stewardship Program (CSP) is a voluntary conservation program that encourages producers to address resource concerns in a comprehensive manner by: undertaking additional conservation activities; and improving , maintaining and managing existing conservation activities |
