The office of Register of Deeds records/files all deeds, land contracts, easements, rights of way grants, Lis Pendens, Discharge of Lis Pendens, etc., as required by law. The office also files and maintains personal property mortgages, registers, files and indexes all veterans military discharges, all births, deaths and marriages in Pepin County. The Register of Deeds office makes certified copies of vital records, assists the public when requesting information and/or copies of any of the above. Genealogists also make use of the records in this office in their pursuit of family histories.
