Delivered
meals are available throughout Pepin County, Monday thru Friday.Meals are delivered about the same time each day from the nearest center.
Frozen

Frozen
meals selected from the menu are available for weekends, holidays, or as a
second meal of the day. These meals can be picked up at a center or delivered.
Transportation
Transportation
to/from the centers for meals are available, within a limited area.Small stops (such as the bank, drug store, etc.) can be arranged going to
or coming from the center.
Nutritional
Supplement (Ensure)
Ensure
may be purchased in individual cans or per case at any center.Ensure is available in many different flavors.Call (672-8936) to find out which ones we carry.
Cost
of Meals
Eligible
persons donate an amount they can afford toward the cost of the meal.However, there is a suggested donation amount of $3.25 for congregate and $3.60 for hand delivered meals based on 40% of the meal
cost.Also, quest cards (food
stamps) can be used for meal donations and are welcomed at all centers.
Dietitian
Services
A
registered Dietitian provides nutritional education and dietary counseling at
each center.
Grocery
Delivery Program
This
program is available to people who are unable to get their own groceries. (City
of Durand only.)
Ordering-
Call 715-672-8936 before 10 am on Thursday to place a grocery order.
The
Senior Services Nutrition Van Driver will stop by your home on Wednesday and
pick up the order. Do not
call Econo Foods with your order.
Include
your name and telephone number on the top of the grocery list
Be
specific about the groceries you want, including brand names and sizes
Attach
any coupons to the list, and put them in an envelope for safe keeping
There
is a $2.00 charge per delivery, and this will be billed to you on your
grocery bill that is sent out at the end of each month
A
senior service volunteer will deliver the groceries the following Thursday
morning

there are any problems with the groceries call, the manager of Econo Foods at
672-5971.

there are any problems with the delivering of the groceries, call the Aging Unit at 672-8941.
