Highway Department

Be aware of Broadband Utility Work in the Towns of Frankfort, Pepin, and Stockholm.  Several utility crews are actively installing fiber optic cable for broadband expansion.  Work is being performed along state, county, and local road right of way.

Road construction continues Highway 25 South of Durand.

Reasons the public may contact the Highway Department:

• Check on the winter road conditions throughout the County
• Check on the road weight limit bans
• Ask questions on the construction schedule throughout the County
• Apply for a driveway permit
• Notify us that a highway sign is damaged or down
• Notify us that there is a flaw in the road or it is being obstructed by something, such as a downed tree
