2026 COUNTY CHIP SEALING

Various County and Town roads in Pepin County are scheduled to be chip sealed the week of 8/3.  Drivers will experience construction equipment and workers on these roads during the process and loose rock on these roads following the work. Click here for schedule.

STATE HIGHWAY 10/25 INTERSECTION [STARTED JULY 7TH]

This 2026 WISDOT project will change the existing intersection to a Roundabout.  Project started July 7, 2026 and will remain open to traffic through staged construction as the project progresses.  Lane closures and delays may be encountered.  Width restriction of 11' is in place.  Completion scheduled for November 2026.

CTH B [Town of Lima, Begins at CTH BB, continues 1.5 miles]

Pavement pulverizing scheduled to begin week of 7/27.  Project will include pulverizing existing asphalt, add base course, ditch work, replace culverts, and repave.  Roadway will generally remain open to traffic, although users will experience possible delays, loose gravel, daytime lane closures, and short-term closures as culverts are replaced.  Project expected to be completed late Fall 2026.

Prissel Rd [Begins at Kothbauer Road and US-10, continues north 1.4 miles onto Prissel Rd]

Dorwins Mill Road, Bear Creek Bridge, Town of Durand

Construction is complete and reopened on 7/24/2026. This bridge is being replaced in 2026.  Bridge is closed with no marked detour.  Completion anticipated by the end of July 2026.

CTH D [begins 1 mile south of CTH SS, continues 2.3 miles]

Project has been completed. Project will include pulverizing existing asphalt, add base course, ditch work, replace culverts, and repave.  Roadway will generally remain open to traffic, although users will experience possible delays, loose gravel, daytime lane closures, and short-term closures as culverts are replaced.  Project expected to be completed late summer 2026. 

BEAVER SLIDE ROAD [Town of Frankfort, Begins at Boyd Spring Rd, continues north 0.5 miles]

Project has been completed.  Project will include pulverizing existing asphalt, add base course, ditch work, replace culverts, and repave.  Roadway will generally remain open to traffic, although users will experience possible delays, loose gravel, daytime lane closures, and short-term closures as culverts are replaced.    Project expected to be completed late summer 2026

• Check on the winter road conditions throughout the County
• Check on the road weight limit bans
• Ask questions on the construction schedule throughout the County
• Apply for a driveway permit
• Notify us that a highway sign is damaged or down
