NOTICE OF ROAD CLOSEURE: Due to damage sustained during recent heavy rain events, the hill portion of Sylvester Road in Town of Waterville is closed until further notice. UPDATE: AS OF 11/5/2025 SYLVESTER ROAD IS REOPENED.
2025 Construction Season Projects (updated 11/6/2025):
County Road PP: Construction is complete, road is reopened.
County Road R: Pulverize and Repave, Hwy 85 to Forester Rd. Timeline: Started 6/30, continues through fall 2025. Daytime lane closures.
Update: Mainline Paving Complete. Finishing work in progress.
County Road D Eau Galle River Bridge: Bridge Replacement has been completed and reopened as of 9/16/2025
County Road X: X and Z intersection to County ZX. Pulverize and Repave, Culvert replacements.
Update: Project Completed.
Highway 35: Repaving from Stockholm to Pierce County Line. Timeline: Started August 25th, continues through mid November, daytime lane closures with flagging. Expect Delays.
Reasons the public may contact the Highway Department:
- Check on the winter road conditions throughout the County
- Check on the road weight limit bans
- Ask questions on the construction schedule throughout the County
- Apply for a driveway permit
- Notify us that a highway sign is damaged or down
- Notify us that there is a flaw in the road or it is being obstructed by something, such as a downed tree
