Emergency Mental Health

Pepin County's trained staff can assist in responses to a person who is experiencing a mental health crisis. The contracted provider for both telephone and mobile crisis services is Northwest Connections. Coordination with law enforcement, local hospitals, and care providers including Pepin County Human Services staff is an essential part of the crisis program. Our philosophy is to utilize evidence based best practices that enables an individual to learn strategies to manage their mental health issues and make progress toward recovery. Core values in recovery emphasize the use of personal choice, hope, collaboration, and respect of the person being the expert in their own experiences.
